Frequently Asked Questions / FAQ

How do I choose between an indoor or outdoor table tennis table?

Indoor tables are not weather-resistant but offer excellent bounce and great value for money. However, they should not be stored in damp areas such as a shed or garage, as moisture can damage the playing surface. Even short exposure to sunlight can affect the flatness of the table. Outdoor tables are more shock-resistant and can stay outside all year round; therefore, they last longer.

How do I assemble my table tennis table?

The tables are delivered in a single box with mostly pre-assembled parts. Assembly takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours with 2 people.

What are the main differences between cheap and more expensive tables?

With more expensive Cornilleau tables, the playing surface is thicker (better bounce), the frame is sturdier, the undercarriage is more robust, the wheels are larger, and the net is more adjustable. You also benefit from premium finishes such as MATTOP (outdoor) or SKILTOP (indoor).

Are there special tables for schools?

Yes, Cornilleau offers indoor and outdoor tables for schools, clubs, and communities, designed for intensive use. There is also a special range of bats specifically for schools.

Can I practice alone on every table?

All tables with wheels can be used for solo practice by folding up one half. Only fixed tables (Park, Pro 510, and Competition 610) do not offer this option.

Which balls should I choose?

The choice depends on your usage. Outdoor balls are heavier and more wind-resistant. Indoor balls are classified from 1 to 3 stars depending on quality and skill level.

Which table color should I choose?

This is mainly a matter of taste. Blue is traditionally the standard, but grey is also very popular nowadays and is even used in competitions.

At what age can you start playing table tennis?

Children can start from age 4 or 5. Mini-tables exist for younger players. Standard tables (76 cm high) are suitable from age 6 or 7.
