While table tennis may seem like a perfectly safe activity at first glance, handling a bulky object like a ping-pong table is not always harmless, especially for children.
It is for them that Cornilleau has developed the safest security systems on the market to prevent any accidents.
The European standard EN 14468 notably describes the constraints to be respected so that a table is secure in both playing and storage positions. It also rules on locking and rolling systems. Cornilleau aimed to position itself well beyond the requirements of this standard through several innovations. This is why the majority of Cornilleau ping-pong tables feature 16 locking points instead of the 8 required by the standard. This patented system offers many advantages, such as locking the table at 65° when unfolding it without holding the handle, to prevent it from falling suddenly.
Patented locking and unlocking system
Folding tables are equipped with one of two systems that allow you to open, close, lock, and unlock ping-pong tables in complete safety. The first, a decentralized system called Push’n Lock, relies on buttons placed on the side of the table. Comprising 8 locking points, it meets the safety standard. In the second system, the centralized release handle allows for opening and closing the table, as well as locking it in its playing position. This patented centralized system, called DSI, features 16 locking points and provides an unprecedented level of safety. For example, if a child opens the table and lets go of the handle, the tabletop locks at 65°, preventing any risk of accident from it falling down.

Corner protectors
